Islesford

Islesford is the name of the village on Little Cranberry Island, one of the five islands in the Town of Cranberry Isles. The other islands comprising the town include Great Cranberry, Baker, Bear, and Sutton Islands, however, only Great Cranberry and Little Cranberry have year-round communities. Islesford has a thriving lobster fleet of a dozen-and a-half boats, an active lobster co-op, an excellent restaurant on a waterfront dock and a two-room schoolhouse which island kids attend through the eighth grade before going to high school ashore.
